Our Founding:
In the Spring of 2011, 10 men came together at Northwood University in Midland, Michigan with a vision to bring another fraternity to Northwood. After receiving the graces from the Northwood University administration, they selected Alpha Sigma Phi. This was only the first showing of the ten men's work ethic and commitment to their vision.
Their first goal was to become the top recruiters on campus, because recruitment is the bloodline to the fraternity. These 10 men faced a large feat recruiting against competing fraternities that had an average number of 40 brothers. In their first fall recruitment they brought in 16 freshman and 2 sophomore's. These men represented the largest pledge class at Northwood in 3 years, they successfully initiated 14 brothers out of that class. These 24 men finally became apart of an official Alpha Sigma Phi chapter on April 28th, 2012.

The Legacy of Aaron Cisco:
Aaron Cisco, our Founding father and first President, worked tirelessly to bring our chapter to life. His vision, dedication, and ability to unite brothers laid the foundation for the brotherhood we continue to build on today. Because of his extraordinary efforts, he was inducted into the Alpha Sigma Phi Undergraduate Hall of Fame in 2013 and honored with the Frank F. Hargear Memorial Award, the highest recognition an undergraduate brother can receive. His legacy remains a guiding example of leadership and commitment for all who follow.
